Examinations

When we get to your house, we will analyze the situation promptly and take care of any urgent threats to prevent further damage. Our experienced arborist will assess the type of tree being uprooted, its size, and age. These factors will determine the arrangements needed to safely haul the tree away. After a thorough examination, we'll explain what needs to be done.

Preparation

We will prepare the site, our tools, and ourselves for tree removal. Our crew will wear protective gear and prepare their tools for cutting, uprooting, or removing the tree in question. We will also check if the tools are in good condition before we begin.

Clearing the Area

Before we start removing the tree, we will clean the yard and ensure that the working area where the tree will be removed is clear of people and personal property. When the whole area is safely cleared, only then, our crew will begin the actual removal process.

Tree Removal

Depending on the size of the tree, our crew might want to cut down the trunk and branches into small pieces. We will also remove large branches from the trunk. Once the tree is cut, we can haul it away or turn the branches into wooden chips on request. If the fallen tree has left a stump on the ground, we can grind it for an additional fee.

Best in the business.  Unfortunately, I had several tree emergencies only weeks apart. Ed responded quickly each time and truly is a great guy to do business with. Ed arrived with his crew with each job. Services were above and beyond what I had expected. Highly, highly recommended!

Can a damaged tree be saved?

After a storm, our professional care can save many trees that seem beyond repair. We can evaluate your damaged trees, assess their condition, and make recommendations for restoration or removal.

In certain situations, removing your entire tree may not be necessary, and only one or two branches must be removed. Perhaps they snapped during a storm and are now dangling perilously or leaning on electrical wires. This still constitutes an emergency and requires immediate attention.

Faq

What is the best way to prevent my trees from falling or breaking during a storm?

We first recommend considering this when planting any trees in your yard - ideally nothing too close to your house/shed/pool/etc. so they have growing room as time goes on and will not threaten your property. If this is not an option, we recommend having your trees consistently pruned! Proper pruning will reduce breakage points in the tree, allow airflow through the branches and keep the weight properly distributed throughout the tree.

A tree/tree limb fell and pulled the wires off my house - what do I do?

If this happens, we advise you not to approach the situation and stand very clear of any wires/tree debris. We will dispatch a crew to assess the situation and begin to clean up. Once our crew has made the situation safe, we advise calling your electrician to reattach the wires to your house.

My neighbor’s tree looks dangerous/dying and I’m worried about it damaging my property - can I do anything about this?

You do have a few options, but we recommend speaking with your neighbor first about the situation and your concerns. If this is not possible then we would next recommend speaking with an attorney and then finally one of our arborist!

I noticed a branch hanging off a tree in my yard, can you help with this?

Absolutely! Hanging branches are a hazard that can quickly become a disaster. Give us a call and we will come to take a look!

My neighbor’s tree fell in my yard - who is responsible for having the tree removed?

Per Connecticut state law, whoever owns the property that the tree has landed on is responsible for clean-up. If there were damages to your property, we recommend taking photos and contacting your insurance company.
